What course are you studying and what level?

PhD in Applied Maths & Theoretical Physics

Why did you chose that course?

I love the way physics approaches questions from nature in an analytical way.

When, where and why did you start rowing? And what do you love about the sport?

2022 in Cambridge at my college (Lady Margaret Boat Club). I have long had a passion for endurance sports and spent years running and cycling, but eventhough these sports are very dear to me, I often found they lack a strong team element. This is what led me to rowing: the ultimate combination of endurance and team work.

How has rowing and being part of the Boat Race squad impacted your life?

Rowing has been intense and added so many emotions to my life which I am deeply grateful for – challenging lows that have helped me to become a better athlete and person, and even more highs that have just been incredibly fun.

If you weren’t a rower, what sport do you think you’d excel at?

Beach volleyball – sunny and warm
