What course are you studying and what level?

MPhil Sociology

Why did you chose that course?

I am interested in pursuing a career in International Security and wanted to learn more about the solutions to counter the rise of the far right.

When, where and why did you start rowing? And what do you love about the sport?

I started rowing at Henley Rowing Club in Henley-on-Thames. We moved there from the US because of my dad‘s job. I hadn’t done sports before— only theater. My mom was adamant that I do a sport so she googled “sports for tall girls” and rowing was the first thing that came up. She signed me up to the local rowing club and the rest was history.
