What course are you studying and what level?
Undergraduate Engineering

Why did you chose that course?
There are lots of different modules to choose from so I can study areas that interest me.

When, where and why did you start rowing? And what do you love about the sport?
I started rowing in 2016 – my mum wanted me to try it as we live near the river and there are several clubs nearby. It’s hard to beat the mornings with a beautiful sunrise and glass flat water.

What was your first rowing club and coach?
Mike Hendry at Walton Rowing Club

What or who was the earliest sporting inspiration you remember as a child?
Probably watching Italy rugby matches in the Six Nations

How has rowing and being part of the Boat Race squad impacted your life?
I’ve made lots of great friends and learnt a lot about how much I can push myself.

If you weren’t a rower, what sport do you think you’d excel at?
Cycling – a good excuse to have lots of coffee and cake
