About Cameron:

Why did you choose Engineering?

I’ve specialised in information engineering which focuses on statistics and machine learning. I find the problems really interesting, and applicable to the kinds of jobs I’d consider taking.

Why did you first try rowing?

I didn’t like most of the other sports on offer

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Miss Palmer at Lady Margret Boat Club (through St Johns College School)

Where else have you rowed?

I’ve rowed at Cambridge ’99s as my primary club and with the Perse school on the side.

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

Winning the ’23 Goldie Isis Boat Race and the ’22 Lightweight Boat Race

Do you have a favourite Boat Race? Which one and why?

Of the races I’ve been in, it must be the ’23 Goldie race, because it was side by side the whole duration of the course until after Barnes bridge where we finally broke them. It was also particularly interesting tactically as both crews made moves round the outside of bends.

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Everything
