When, where and why did you start rowing? And what do you love about the sport?

At my school BMS about 3 years ago, I started because the other option for winter sports was hockey and I hated hockey!

What was your first rowing club and coach?

Bedford modern school rowing club, Mark Bavington first coach

What or who was the earliest sporting inspiration you remember as a child?

My mums friend who did a lot of triathalons and long running races and things who I called “medal Jane”

How has rowing and being part of the Boat Race squad impacted your life?

Rowing has absolutely taken over my life since I started 3 years ago- it has had a huge positive impact and I absolutely love it! I would say it makes everything more dramatic though- the highs are very high and the lows are low

What is your favourite non-academic book?

Ancillary justice by Anne Lecke quite good
