About Rowan:

Why did you choose Engineering?

I’ve been a big fan of Formula One for years, and want to work for an F1 team in the future, in an Engineering Role. I’m specialising in Mechanical Engineering.

Why did you first try rowing?

I wasn’t good at any other sports in school, but I was tall and thought it might be fun during Fresher’s Week.

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Anna Odorici and Freya Casson at Lady Margaret Boat Club, Cambridge

Where else have you rowed?

City of Oxford Rowing Club

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

Captaining my college crew to a hugely successful year, achieving blades in Lent Bumps

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Winning the Boat Race would mean there was something to show for all those early mornings and hours spent on the water in the gym and on the water.
