Why did you choose DPhil Mathematics?
My research is based on developing machine learning tools that can incorporate model uncertainty in complex financial problems. It appeals to me because it combines purely theoretical and abstract work with hands on solutions that have a direct impact in industry.
Why did you first try rowing?
It looked like it was a fun sport, combining endurance and strength.
